How to Pull Off a Headband

Burgundy1

Today I am wearing two things that I am crazy about: thigh-high boots and pretty things on my head.

Shirt: Old Navy / Legging Pants: New York & Company / Boots: Shoedazzle / Turband: Mila Rose Designs / Scarf: Quotation Marks (duh)

I had a friend comment on this headband the other day.  She told me, “I love that you can wear headbands.  I can’t because I would never pull it off.”

Well I have a secret.

The secret to being able to “pull off” a headband is … just wearing it. If you want to be a headband person, then all you have to do is put on a headband!

I love this one in particular- it is so perfect for fall and adds a little kick to my step whenever I wear it!

What is something that you’ve always wanted to “pull off” but are a little scared to? Would you wear high boots and pretty things on your head?

P.S. There are TWO GIVEAWAYS going on that you don’t want to miss.  For a thank you giveaway with my 4 favorite nail polishes, see here.  For the Gatsby script scarf giveaway, see here.

  2. I can’t wear these kind of headbands, I’m with the person who told you that before 🙂
Aside from feeling awkward, I can’t get them to stay put. They make my hair push up in the back. How do you get them to stay?

Lol I get that. That happens to me sometimes too! It might be these headbands in particular that work for me- they aren’t too tight so they don’t pop off the back of my head!

haha, love your ‘secret’. That’s the way I approach fashion! Though, for real, that type of headband doesn’t work well with my short, curly hair shape. But I love the hard headbands that slide behind your ears!

I’m glad we have the same fashion strategy! Totally fair if some kinds of headbands don’t work for your hair. I love those hard headbands with short hair, so chic!

I love your headband so much! I used to wear headbands in college all the time, but now they just don’t work for me in my work environment 😦 It makes me sad, but I wear them on weekends a lot!

haha i TOTALLY agree- all you gotta do is want to wear it and then you pull it off! i’ve always been iffy about beanies, but i found a way to style it in a girly way 🙂

ps- i found you through the tucker up linkup 🙂
